Today September 7, 2006 was a very good day. I was looking over my collection and to my surprise my wife walks in. I thought Ut Oh..... I was busted, caught red handed, I felt like the boy with his hand in the cookie jar. Many thought raced through my mind. Should I ignore her? Should I play dumb? Should I lie saying all these coins belonged to friend? She seen the shocked look in my eyes and asked "what ya doin". I told her just enjoying "OUR" coin collection. She had never seen the coins before. At least not all out at one time and had no idea what I really had. She sat next to me and I picked up a coin or two and started to show her. She looked. coin after coin , making remarks "oh that one is pretty" " I love this one" "These all look alike". We sat there for a hour or so. She really seemed to enjoy the coins and even had a few questions about mint marks and populations and so on. It turned out she really had a eye for the better graded coins and then she stood up saying to me with a slight smile, " Please take care of OUR coins". I am a small collector but I do enjoy the few coins I have and now that my wife is part of my collecting it will make my hobby even more enjoyable.
