I agree with NGC and Conder101. Looks like minor sub surface laminations...Nothing to get excited about...very common on early nickel coinage. I wouldn't pay any premium for it. I would rather have a coin with a smooth surface.

Fake as the dickens. Well worn in the centers, but full rims? Plus the color is really off.

I live near where this guy is from and have visited his shop a couple times. He always seemed shady to me. Never would let me inspect his coins close up...very adamant about no returns. Glad I never bought from him. Glad they finally got him.

I'm not a modern coin guy, but I would have hung onto it. Neat error...especially if you got it in change.
