I like how NGC grades coins but they have always told us to look at the coin and not the holder. When you see so many modern coins graded MS69 and MS70 who really gives if it is a 69 or 70. It seems strange to me that someone would pay over $30,000.00 for a 1993 $50.00 Gold Eagle when you have so many in MS69. NGC grades on the standards set forth by the A.N.A. and that is good enough for me. PCGS is way out in left field on thier own and they make up thier own rules of the game. Don't get me wrong, I totally respect PCGS grading and David Hall, but then again they have thier own standards. I have many PCGS and NGC coins and you should go by what you think looks good to you and not the slab the coin happens to be in. Eye Appeal is what it is all about.
