Coins look like a safe place to invest. I have a long history with coins so I decided to take a spin with coins and estate auctions with coins.For the last three months I have been buying coins at auctions. Not all auctions are the same.There are so many there has to be some bargains out there. So armed with my trusty,redbook,US Coins,Numismedia, etc. The job is daunting with so many auctions. I choose the auctions very carefully and set out to find a jewel in the ruff. In one auction I found a collection of silver ingots. Each ingot one oz. there were twenty two of them. I bought that for fifty dollars. I purchased a currency set for 1000 the auctions charge 100 dollars about 20% premium on the hammer price. I can sell it for $2400 easily. I have already made without any action on my part a profit on at least six items.
