A true coin/set registry should be administered by an independent numismatic service for the purpose of providing avid coin collectors with a true and unbiased opportunity to compete with other members. This is a prime opportunity for the American Numismatic Association (ANA) to step up to the plate, take a leadership role and promote a dying hobby by creating an independent, unbiased national numismatic registry for both PCGS and NGC coin collectors. Thus, I am requesting the ANA take note of my suggestion and act immediately.

The ANA already has something very similar in place; it's just not used by very many.

  2. I can't even get my NORFED pieces slabbed even though the government has clearly stated its legal for collectors to own. Yet another example of how one must be connected to achieve desires. One more example of why I moved my registry sets to custom and have been attempting to withdraw from the boards. As I've aged and started making more money thus obtaining more impressive coins I've found more pleasure taking my hobby back into the closet if you will?. My last two posts were deleted, no strike just deleted. The last one was in French, as was the OP and politely as for as my posts can be; it too, gone. Has ATS began to moderate here as well?

  3. Hi Ali,

My bad I meant to ask if you could add the $100 American Platinum Eagle mint state to the American Eagle & Buffalo coins;American Eagle Date set in the 2014 Eagle Mint state set. Geez there's only like 60,000 sets I thought you knew them all?. Sorry for taking up so much of your time and thanks again,

    David

  4. Good morning Ali,

If it's not already on your radar please add a coin to the Category: American Eagle and Buffalo coins; Set: American Eagles 1986-date, complete. The 2014-W G$50 in MS. Also same set shows a 2014 P$100 in MS? Oversight or do you know something we don't? Thank you once again for all your hard work and efforts.

  5. I'm not a grader or authenticity expert; more like a newbie weak collector. I just buy what I like and recently almost got stuck with a fake slabbed Morgan. I know as fast as someone figures one out another example appears in regards to slabs. So, I seem to have no choice but to learn more about spotting counterfeits. About 80% of the coins I buy come from Stacks & Bowers with another 15% or so from Heritage so I don't worry that much. I still would like to be able to spot a fake. I saw some of the books mentioned previously but wonder if any newer books are available documentating these newer and supposed better fakes. Thanks for any suggestions. I collect Morgans as most and Seated Liberty halves and quarters.

  6. Sold 56 coins since March to 16 different members ( not counting the 26 eagles to one member. ALL positive, fast and without any trouble. Ive mentioned Hunter's Gold, Six Mile Rick, CCcoindude, wdrob and others but Bruce S. just keeps coming back for more! I love getting his checks or mailbox money even though it can't continue. I know what I've sold him and can see everyone else likes him too; did he win the lotto?

This week I sold a 1805 half to Ryan S. and he is without a doubt the most polite member I've ever dealt with, he really appreciated the coin which always makes it nice.
