  1. Let me ask another question. When you add the category Thailand, then can I have a competitive set for just all the different denominations as a group or do I need to have one for each denomination?

If it's for each denomination, then I'd like 20, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 600 baht. Most..although not all...of the silver proof coins are in those denominations and I just brought back a bunch of ones I will be sending in for grading before the end of May.

    Thanks.

  2. Not sure what you are asking. I don't have any ancient Thai coins but I thought just adding the country would allow me to build a registry of the coins I have had graded. Presently my Thai coins are all later than 1925, I believe, without looking. I didn't know I had to be specific.

I guess if you can send me a private message I can give you my name and NGC member number and you can see what I have had graded in Thai coins and maybe that will help with your question.

    Thanks

  3. Went to an auction that included coins from a guy who was a banker for 50 years or something. He had a large stash of coins, proof sets, rolls of Kennedys, etc. He also had 10 UNC 1892-O Morgans that I guess nobody else bothered to check the rarety or worth so when the bidding started on this particular coin I only had one guy bidding against me and he quit early. When they asked me if I wanted the rest of them at the same price, I said YES!! So I took them all. Don't know if I will ever find such a great deal again but I sure enjoyed this one.

  4. Here's the closeup of the wing area I think you were talking about and the back of the head where I saw the other spots that were slightly raised. Not sure about the dash under the 8 unless you are talking about a very small - right above the edge of the coin that I really needed a loop to see. I'll check Vam World when I get more time later today or tonight but any thoughts would be appreciated.

  5. I think I see what you are talking about. I looked at it with a loop. I'll try to get better pics of the spot to make sure we are talking about the same thing....but I also noticed some raised areas on the obverse to the right of the head which I will try to get good pics of. But I'd like to make sure we are talking about the same area. It's going into NGC either Friday or Sat with about 29 other coins I want graded. Would they note any of that in the label?

  6. Okay, guys. Haven't been looking in here for quite awhile but was home and had time on my hands so I started looking at all the cool coins so I thought I'd add a few of my recent pickups. First is what I consider my greatest auction score. I posted these on another board but I am sure there are some of you that don't cruise that one so I'll post here too. They are currently in the grading process at NGC and will hopefully be mailed this Friday. I am anxious to see how they all grade out.
