Got this back from grading.  Bought it from the Mint.  Called NGC to find out what this meant.  Got a gal who read a prepared sentence.  I called the mint to see if they had done something to this coin, and they say no, can't be responsible for coins once they leave the mint.  Still don't know what is wrong with it.  I guess the Postal Service did something to it before NGC got it, because I know that they don't "alter surfaces".  Anyway, can someone explain what the mints do to alter surfaces so as to negate a coin from being graded.

    Thanks anyone.

Anyone done business with World-Numismatics?  Looking at some of their coins and wondering how they are.  Do they ship fast?  Have quality products, trustworthy.  Returns hassle free?  Just some info on them if anyone has bought from them in the past.  I believe they are in England, because they list everything in pounds for prices.  That is no big deal though.  As always Thank you everyone.

I guess that sometime everyone gets the "dreaded" phone call in life.  Whether it is being notifyied of a family member death or failing health.  This time it is my turn.  Failing health and serious problem has made it's way to myself.  I am having to start selling and don't really know how to approach it.  I think there are members here that work for auction firms and people who sell online alot.  If anyone could contact me about advice or people to contact I would appreciate it.  If you are looking for something, let me know if I have it maybe we can work something out.  I won't make a firm decision on how to sell until I hear from alot of you, my friends and colleauges here at NGC.  It pains me to do this, but selling was not a choice I made lightly, rather it is a necessary thing.  Thanks to you all.
I must say CONGRATS to all the registry winners, way to go and best of luck to all of you in 2018.

WOW!!!  I sent in 18 World coins to NGC on April 10th via small flat rate priority mail.  They received it on the 12th.  The 13th of April, the tracker said received and verified.  I checked the tracker and it said scheduled for grading on the 16th of April. The 17th of April it said finalized/shipped.  WHAT THE F!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Can it be??????????  Received it this morning the 24th of April.  Only 7 days to ship here.  Other submissions took 2 weeks or more.  WHAT'S UP WITH THIS??????  Anyone have any thoughts on this miraculous turnaround.  By the way I was very pleased with the grades on this submission.  Of which all my previous submissions have been less than rewarding.  I sent in this submission because I have been waiting for a particular coin to get to complete a set I have been striving to complete for years.  Now it's time to add them to the registry and then later this summer put them up for sale, God willing.  For all you who remember, my health is stable for now which is good I guess.  I am recovering right now from a major surgery that has really drained my gas tank (emotional and physical).  Folks, please try to keep the journals going.  I look everyday and sometimes days/weeks go by and the same last three posted show up.  IT IS DISHEARTENING to see what it has become.  DAMN IT NGC GET YOUR TOGETHER AND PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS OR FIX IT SOMEHOW.  LISTEN TO YOUR MEMBERS.  THEY!!!!!!!!!!! ARE THE ONES WHO MADE YOU.  Don't go the way of Ebay.  Us small sellers made Ebay and now they cowtow to the big internet sellers and national businesses.  Just DON'T go there.  I am Formally known as Eagles-r-It.  And my favorite color is ORANGE.

Two things on my top ten list is tour the US Mint, and attend a large coin show.  The Denver ANA show fit the criteria for a trip like this to get two of my top tens done.  We made reservations and purchased airfare tickets in early April.  The days went by and two days before our trip I decided to check the Mint website again for info on the tours.  To my shock all tours were cancelled during the week of the ANA show.  This was not the case when we decided on the trip.  Oh well disappointed but still going to a big show.
DAY 1: Wednesday.  Left home at 10AM for the 2 1/2 hr. drive to the airport 110 miles give or take.  Got to the airport and just our luck, flight delayed 1 hr.  Then 2hr. then 3, and 4hrs. delayed.  Finally got here and flight to Denver smooth and uneventful.  Another 2 hrs. before we got to the hotel.  All is well, had a good night.
DAY2: Thursday. Walked the few blocks to the Colorado Convention Center and got there for the 9:30 opening for members.  They wouldn't let my wife in until 10am.  I went in first, got the 2 Chinese coins commemorating the convention and the two medal set from the ANA.  Then my wife joined me and we headed to the US Mint booth.  I walked up there and asked for some one in authority.  I was going to give them a piece of my mind for cancelling the tours during one of the biggest coin shows in town.  They introduced me to a guy and I said. "who's bright idea was it to cancel the Mint tours.  We planned on this trip back in April, and now no tours."  The gentleman stood there and took my clean, but polite rant, quit clamly.  When I was done he said.  We are having tours for ANA members and show attendees and we have two times, 2pm and 3:30pm."  Well I don't wear bladder control underwear, but I nearly needed it right them and there.  After he explained why they closed it for the show and we talked awhile, I swallowed hard and profusely apologized, but walked away with two 3:30pm tickets.  We made the tour and was exhausted, so we walked back to the hotel, then out for supper.  Did I say we are from the upper mid west?  I mean upper upper mid west near the Canadian border.  Hence the words supper and 2 1/2 hrs. to the airport.
DAY 3: Friday.  Went back to the show and took my time and checked with the Mint to see if they had any 225th anniversary sets.  Forgot yesterday with my tantrum and all.  Explained to them I tried online the first day to no avail.  But as proven yesterday with the Mint tour surprise, they just got 2 cases in literally right in front of me and he asked how many.  I said 2 sets is fine, I am not greedy like the TV and online sellers.  I could have bought both cases, but I am not greedy.  Went through about half of the bourse and decided to go to NGC and get my purchases sent in for grading.  Back to the hotel to wait for my wife who had gone to visit a mutual friend who was seriously injured in a auto crash back in October of last year and is getting therapy in a rehab center in Denver.
DAY 4.  Saturday.  Went back to the show to finish the bourse.   I was shocked to find 30 - 40 % of the tables EMPTY,  And another 20 - 30 % packing up.  This was Saturday and the only free admission day, and probably the only day the working folks could probably make the show.  I was really disappointed and SAD these dealers did not stick around.  I can think of my early days at small 10 to 20 table shows hoping to find a key or something and coming on Saturday and they are half gone.  I did not expect this at the big show.   Found 1 more coin and brought the ones I had left in the hotel safe with that I forgot yesterday to bring from day 2 purchases for NGC to be graded.  Yes I know should have waited to turn them ALL in on the last day.  But I was excited, my first big coin show.  I was like a kid in a candy shop.  By the way we did stop in 2 candy shops on the way back to the hotel.  ENTIRELY my WIFE'S fault.
DAY 5.  Got up, actually my wife got up at 5am to get to the airport, I was up all night ill.  Must have been the candy shop.  No I was seriously ill, up over 39 hrs straight.  Got to the airport and of course I set off the alarms as I did at day one airport.  I have an artificial hip and I was then patted down again.  I have never been felt up so much in five days my whole like. Not even at home.  CHUCKLE CHUCKLE.  Finally got to the gate and the flight was switched to another gate,  got there and the flight was delayed 1 hr. 15 min.  Well that held and got in exactly 1hr. 15 min late.  Got to the car for the 2 1/2 hr. drive home.  Needless to say I welcomed my own bed.,  Good to be home.  8 top tens to go.  All in all, we had a blast.  All the dealers were very nice, chatty and willing to deal.  Left some business cards with some I bought from and made some connections for the future I hope.  So last night asked the wife.  Next big show is in Las Vegas and the FUN show in Florida, which do you want to go to?  NEITHER !!! she said.  We will see.

Just thought I would try to catch up with folks.  I have been away for awhile as many of you know.  Health reasons.  My tests are finally in the normal + range.  But in February I had my 4th back surgery which left me much worse off than what I went in as.  But in July we got my next hobby to keep me waking up for something to do each day, being disabled and retired, in no particular order, and waiting for Mrs. to retire in 1 1/2 yrs. It is a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with matching numbers and near original interior 84,000 miles.  We owned one when we got married in 1973 and miss it since then.  Looked for nearly 9 yrs to find one in good shape.  Being an ex auto mechanic, had to dig out the Motors and Chilton's to refresh on some things.  Was embarrassed to admit it but I have forgotten more than I can ever remember.  But none the less, I am pressing on.  I am hoping my Competitive Isle of Man cats gets some attention for this years awards as well as my custom cats of the world, or others, especially the Snow Leopards.  Hope my old followers will follow me again, as I will follow you as well.

Hello friends,  I am letting you all know I have changed my Public name.  It was Eagles-R-it, but now it is RMK-Collectibles.  I did this to better reflect my hobbies and buying habits.  I am kind of a accumulator of lots of things, not just Silver Eagles.  So all my friends here at NGC especially Rick, Brent, Keith, Glenn, Troy, and Dan I hope you continue to follow me as I will still follow you all and more.  By the way, where can I find the follow/following part since the change.  Anyway hope ALL members continue to enjoy my sets.  THANKS THANKS THANKS.  PS how do I add photos to this new format?

    Almost there
Hi, my first entry. I am collecting MS70 2011 Eagles. I think I have a complete set as it stands now with what I can find out in the market. The hardest one was the Eagle BRN/Gold label, and the ALS non-early release. I will get them listed and pictures added as soon as I figure out how to do this stuff. I am a computer newbie also. As I figure there are 12 different MS70 Silver Eagle holders in NGC right now. I also have nearly all the PCGS 2011's. Someone help me out on the number of different MS70's available now. Thanks and hope to get all the pics in my manager soon.

Just got called and 3 more are coming.
I enjoyed the replies I got on my first journal. I collect or enjoyment of getting something different. I know silver eagles are only worth what the particular day brings, but getting a complete set of different labels is a challenge and, fun. Yep, it's expensive sometimes, but I am getting older and it helps me pass my days. I guess it is like some who collect comic books, certain issues are rare, but to have an entire volumn is great. I hope you can see the pics of my collection, cuz I am not sure how to do things yet. Someone let me know ok?

    Don't believe it
I had been called to let me know that the 3 silver eagle holders I had been waiting for were on their way. I had even sent photos of the 3 I was in need of. Now this is a very reputable coin supplier, I guess you know the rest of the story. They came today and yep you are right, they all were WRONG!!!! What the H-E- double toothpicks does it take to get what you ordered, especially when you send them pics and they said they had them on hand? HELP!!!!!! I am bonkers over this

    Taken advantage of.
Well, I am still waiting for the 3 Silver Eagles I was promised over 3 weeks ago. Now I find out they never had them, even though the salesman said he "went in the back to physically check" that they were there. Well now they never had any. But they say they have 2 of the 3 coming, check back on Friday. This is what happens when you live in a rural ag state, small towns and no source for coins other than Ebay and the internet. You get strung along and along and along.
I don't know where to look anymore, I don't know if it is proper to ask members if they or someone they know in their circles has knowledge of sources. Or that they themselves have extras for sale or not. Need your advise and help.

    New HOPE HAS RISEN.
Found a distributer today who said they would do everything possible to find my wanted coins, and with no money down. I see em before I buy em, can turn any or all down. No penalty, they said they would put them in their store and sell them anyway. Thanks for everybodies reply.
And no it is not Ebay, been doing business there as a seller as well as a buyer for over a decade and no problem, except for two buyers who wouldn't pay and turned it over to Ebay. Needless to say I sold those items for 50% more afterwards.

    God bless America
Just added another Silver Eagle MS70 to my custom collection. I thinks it is the nicest label of all the holders. Ok Ok I give. It is a 2011 SAE MS70 Struck at San Francisco Mint with the Flag Label. Actually it is a label everyone is probably familiar with. I am still waiting to get the three I was supposed to get over a month ago. Fustrating as it is I am thrilled to add this one, till they come out with another before the end of the year. I also will not stop until I get my total and complete collection in hand.
Oh by the way, there is a totally complete set I will enter this week. I have hopes to have the pics loaded by the weekend. Why? Because I am computer challenged.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned

    How many
I collect holders that have different labels in them. This yr, 2011 Silver Eagles MS69 has 18 holders with different labels counting the Burnished that just shortly came out. Yes there are browns, flags, Early Releases, etc, but I consider each label as it pertains to a certain coin. So that is why I count the Burnished also, even tho it has the same five labels that were previously awarded, well almost. You see there are different mints that produced Eagles, different mint marks etc. So what do you think? With the 5 coin anniversary set due out soon, how many different labels will there be for it? 1, 3, or 5 like the Burnished and for each different coin in the set? Let me know what you think. Also I will be loading my MS69s to my custom collections as a new collection hopefully this week, save for one burnished I had to return. Also if anyone knows of more label for the silver eagle let me know. I am still missing 3 MS70s.
    Thanks for your ear

Complete 2011 MS69 Silver Eagles label set?
I have 13 different holder labels for th ms69 2011 silver eagle now collected. Will the burnished be allowed in this category? I hope so, cuz I am ready to upload them. Also if I have omitted a ms69 for the 2011 silver eagle let me know and I will definetly seek it out. Also check out the Struck at West Point Mint with the brown label. I cannot find a MS70 like it. Was told this is a "unique" label. What are your thoughts? Also cannot find the final three MS70s that I need. Anyone out there with ideas on where I can find them, let me know. Thanks everyone and have a great weekend.

    Confused to say the least
Just when I thought I was within sight of accomplishing my goal of collecting a complete set of 2011 Silver Eagle holders with different labels and different eagles in ms70, I find out that the Mint is issuing 3 labels for coins from the 5 coins anniversary set.
This means if I understand it right and the kind lady at NGC explains it there are three coins, the "W" "S" and "bullion" coin to get the pedigreed label. Thats fine, except they can also come with the early release label. This now makes six to collect.
But wait there is more. If some are sent in with the mint box not sealed only the "S" coin can be graded in MS. It will get a brown label from the set and this also can get early release. So, that makes 8 labels available for the 25th anniversary set.
But wait, I understand that some of the big wholesalers can get their own label, which means if this is true, an unknown number of labeled Eagles to be obtained.
The mint also only produced 100,000, so how many will be sent in for grading? How high will the prices be? Could there be a certain coin that has less than 100 or even 20 with a label for it.
Your thoughs folks. Also correct me on my errors as I am going on gut feeling and some minor info from NGC.
    Thanks

    Appreciator of coins
No I am not offended. When I can buy a NGC ms69 2011 silver eagle on a Monday and sell it for 2 1/2 times what I paid for it the next week to help fund my goal, that is not true collecting I guess. I look at my endeavor like when I was small and had all the blue trifold books to collect pennies nickels dimes etc, when you found one you were excited, no different here. Actually when I do finally accomplish my task and I have maybe 8 to 12 labels that are rare or hard to get I guess I did make it then, because The coin is then also rare, and like they say, buy the coin. I suppose it's like going after that elusive Morgan CC or Lincoln penny, Numismatics is what you make it. OCD probably not, ain't got enough money for that to occure. But the same could be said about someone who has been collecting and accumulating a certain collection for years, I call that determined and passionate, but also OCD. Just jawing with you all, loosen up and ENJOY your particular endeavor. I am, and I will be the only one in the US maybe to say "I have every 25th anniversary silver eagle holder with the different labels and mint marks in ms70."
Thank you, you have been a great audiance.

    last ones?
Well I have added five holders to my ms69 and ms70 collection. And yes for my beloved critic, whom I am sure will make a remark, I stated which one is my favorite label.
Being a disabled veteran, I sincerely love my flag and everything about it, so comment away my good and spirited one. I also think that this is probably that last aditions I have, unless I am lucky enough to get a 25th anniversary holder from the 5 coin set. It looks like the scalpers have the market, but maybe 6 mo. to a yr from now some will turn up reasonably priced.
I am not going to comment on the Mint and its handling of the 5 coin set, it is over and water under the bridge. Of course I am disapointed, but what the hey huh?
Friday is an important day for me and many others, so if you can, take a minute of your time at work, home or play on Friday at 11:11 and just think of someone who you know past or present in the service. And if you can I among millions of others would appreciate it.
Ok, I hear you, enough already stop carrying on. So I will, but first, I want to wish my oldest brother happy birthday, who by the way was shot up to hell in Viet Nam. So here is to you big bro, HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

    25th Anniversary sets
Has anyone been following the turmoil on Ebay with the 25th sets? It's remarkable. How about one company who put up a full ms69 and ms70 set, when lots of people signed up to be notified when they were going on sale. This is what I have heard anyway. What do you all think? I suppose most don't give a rats a__ about it.
    Thanks for listening

    key aquirement
Hello fellow NGCer's. Call me lucky or maybe I was due for something good to happen. I got confirmation on a ms69/pf69 25th anniv. ngc certified set, and at a shockingly good price. But that's not all, they through in a ms70/pf70 set as well but at regular price. This will help tremendously toward my goal of achieving a complete set of ms69 and ms70 holders with the different labels. I know many of you scoff at me for this, but 10 or 15 yrs from now maybe my handing this down to a family member of this effort will pay off for someone special. PS they are from a well known reputable dealer. Thanks for following. I appreciate it.

    Cannot enter
I just received my Anniversary sets certified by NGC. I cannot however enter my PF70/MS70 coins in My Collection. I have no trouble at all for the 69s. Entered the #s numerous times, but no go. Of course NGC is closed for the holiday and to late to call who I got them from. Any suggestions folks?
