A few months ago I decided to invest a small amount of my income in precious metals. As my research unfolded I re-discovered coin collecting and immediately fell in love with the Silver American Eagles, especially the proofs. Wow, it is really a fantastic looking coin. Imagine my excitement when I learned about the 25th Anniversary Set! I knew immediately I just had to have one. As fate would have it, I was home on the release date recovering from surgery and got up early to log in to the US Mint. When high noon came, I began the arduous task of hitting my refresh over and over. 12 minutes later I had them. Excited and nervous at the same time, after all I just spent $1,500.00! Now fast forward to today. Every day checking that status, then the tracking number, then the UPS site...and now finally the Eagles have landed! It is a bittersweet victory today as I can't even open the box to take a peek...Now they head to NGC for grading. Just imagine my excitement if I get a set of 70's...I hope the same for all of you. When we finally get those encapsulated sets back I hope all of you have at least one set of 70's. I know you'll be excited too.
