    So what to do
As a new collector and new to the hobby. I was proud to get my number one set.
I was involved in the hobby, as were others by the new issue coins.
Do I believe that tmy sets are more precious than the person that got me involved? To answer that question I would have to exzammine his collection.
"Gerald", has been involved in the hobby many more years and more knowledgable in the hobby than I am.He has not a single set ranked and not likeley to have, although he is more knowledgable and is more,"invested", in the hobby.
I am not ashamed in my collection, but I believe there are two types of collectors.
I am a stickler for graded coins, as I know my limitations."Gerald",prefers his knowledge and experiance.
Lets quit quibbling and realize that what makes us what we are as lovers of the hobby....Bill

    Joy of learning
I may be wrong but I have felt the joy in building registry sets was to promote a little competition, and share our collections with others. I don't really care what the value of your collection is and these values are obscured from others anyway. What concerns me is that by obscuring a collection from view others, especially the new collector, you exhibit a lack of friendliness to the hobby.
