CCoindude is on a roll. I recently sold some proof ASE's to him and it was a quick sale with great communication. A+

Not a major acquisition by any means but just received my first 2011 Penny and in nice shape too - only took 4 months. Now off to purgatory aka the 5 gallon water jug.

Fresh from the Perth Mint and arrived today - the last in the Treasures of Australia series and this one will complete my set after grading.
The single natural pearl set inside the mother of pearl locket is a different touch to the previous years which had multiple pieces inside the clear locket. Other than the smudge on the plastic capsule, Perth sent me a problem free coin.

Arrived from NGC today - purchased two in 2002 for $43 each with the intention of putting the one on a bracelet with other 1/10 coins I gave my wife as a wedding gift. Oh am I happy I forgot about this one... 1/1 for it's grade out of a total population of 32. The other came back a MS 69 due to a copper spot on the rev.
Woo Hoo!

Found this 1996 W Dime still in the cello while going through some old sets - looked pretty clean and the return of a MS 68 was better than expected.

Was looking through some old proof sets owned by my late grandfather - found my birth year set and loved the toning on the .01 penny. Sent the coin in for grading and preservation with my last batch, if anything for the sentimental family value.
The purple and blue toning really pop's with a transition down the obv. from top to bottom
Graded PF 66 RB Cameo

The High Relief Australian Kangaroo is not available for purchase from Perth if you have a US address. So it sucks you have to go through a secondary vendor to pick up the coin - the pricing being off its high helps. Based the NGC population, there seems to be some popularity to the low run coin.
Nice Box-O-Kookaburras!!! Saving for a rainy day?

Picked these two modern coin(s) up from MCM a few weeks ago - A+ service guys!
Can't afford a 2009 UHR - so this is my poor man's PF 70 version.
This high relief rocks - sweet coin w/ boxing kangaroo's that pop!
and my zodiac sign finally made its way around - 2011 Year of the Rabbit - MS 70

I recall one: Physics-fan 3.14 and I'm sorry to say I do not recall others. All five or six sales have been positive - A++ w/ no issues at all.

From my late Grandfather's collection of coins I inherited back in January. The 1983 Maple Leaf was in a screw down holder with first year of .9999 printed on the outside. So I sent the coin in and came back MS 64.

Get em in one big holder when done
I would love to - I wonder if NGC makes a thick multi-holder. The single slabs are much thicker than the normal ones and they won't fit in the standard slab boxes.
-
Added the 4th in the Treasures of Australia Proof Locket Coins to my signature set - Gold Nuggets for 2010. Sent in the coin to NGC and came back PF 69 UC.
What gets me though is I have two obverse up and two reverse up from '07 - '10 all going in for grading at different times. Nice to have in the collection and looking forward to 2011 Pearls.
-
I thought NGC wasn't going to slab these because they were uncertain about the jewel mounting?
They've slabbed about 5 or 6 of the first three in the series per the census report and most came in 69 - w/ one 68 and a 70. The slab is the same size except it is about the thickness of two slabs together.

I thought about collecting the Treasures of Australia for my daughter and picked up this PF 69 version a few weeks ago. I picked up the 2008 Opals ungraded and it will be sent to NGC - the 2007 Sapphires is a little expensive right now and there are two more years remaining in the series (Gold '10 and Pearls '11 - try to get them at release).
Only 7,500 minted in .999 FINE Silver - only problem is the NGC slab is thicker than normal and will not fit in the slab holders...
-
Hey, that's a really clever way to obscure the certification number. Cool.
I did that to the original by mistake and I'm stuck with it on the registry.
-
Picked up these two recently. Due to great deals in the market, I want to have one each of the $1, $2.5, $3, $5, $10 and $20 pre 1933 golds.

Just e-mailed over from NGC...

Just got one back from NGC today - was hoping for a DPL, but a MS 64 PL is nice too. Marks on the cheek got me...
