A recap of last weeks Balt Show and my final purchase of 2012
Last week's trip to the Balt Show was the 1st time I went to the November event. In checking my records I have attended the March Balt show as far back as 1997 ( I live in Northern NJ) and it is my favorite show as my wife and I enjoy the Inner Harbor area and the great seafood restarants the city has to offer. This trip I went solo and combined Friday at the show with flyfishing the Gunpowder River in Upper Balt County on Saturday. The area northwest of the city is lovely rolling hills and the river did not dissapoint with some nice wild brown trout taken on the fly. Anytime I can combine trips with my two favorite hobbies I do so as it is cost effective and neither pursuit is low cost. I also "landed" one coin a lovely 1832 Half Dime , a LM4 , easily diagnosed by the die cracks at the top of Miss Liberty's Cap (attached). This will probably be my final purchase of 2012 but what a year it has been with my 2cent Registry collection now complete along with key purchases in the 3cent silver and Half dime sets I am working on. I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels. - Rich
