The two armed bandit

I worked with show bands in and around Nevada from 1963 and we had a great time.

Just after high school I left Memphis and moved to L.A.

Soon I was working with bands playing all over S. California.

After a year I was invited to audition with a "Show Band"and we worked in NEVADA!!

This was the dawn of my Numismatic experience. The first time I pulled on the slot machine, I was HOOKED.

I was immediatly taken over by those georgeous silver dollar "Morgans". Yes indeed I could not get the shine and the sound of many coins clinking like only silver "Morgans" do.

The beautiful art work on both sides of the giant silver ALMOST ALIVE dollar kept me in a trance. Lets don't forget the dates.

We would only marvel at how great they looked for the age some 50 to 75 years old.

The day of the silver in the slots was going to end giving way to tokens and I wanted all I could get.

I'm 65 now and don't play drums on the road anymore, however I cannot stay away from those shiny objects making you wonder where they had been.

It's the same with currency. It's the faboulous art work and history behind all of our money.

It's the envy in the eyes of the guy looking at my beautiful collection.

It's the look in his eye when I give a silver dollar and tell him that is the high of Numismatics.
