NGC / Ebay / Pay Pal reduced revenue

Did anyone notice that the Proof W Silver Eagle on ebay are nonexistent? Higher grading fees, higher Ebay fees and Pay Pal fees are the reason I stopped. NGC discounts to Modern Coin Mart gives the dealer a chance to lower the prices on Ebay and sell them higher on their web site.

Ok it was plain to see that the discounts given to dealers from NGC gives them an ability to to cut everyone else out of the competition. The Silver Eagle PF70 was 99.00 each on ebay and 109 on their web site.

The silver quarters example. The coin set cost 42.00 plus 5.00 shipping then add 20.00 each to grade them at NGC plus 8% handling equals 108.00 don't forget shipping and shipping and insurance both ways to NGC, lets say 20.00 For a total cost of 175.00. Can you believe I bought a set of PF70's silver quarters for $137.00 on Ebay? Then I saw them selling for even less

Now understand the only guys making money was NGC and Ebay and Paypal. If I would have graded my own sets I wonder how coins I would have had to grade to get a complete set of 5 silver 70's?, Now they are selling for about 116.00 dollars each? That's 8.00 over the cost from NGC to me for grading fees, then I need to pay for shipping them?????? Dont forget the 42.00 charge from the mint.

I am betting that NGC is going to raise prices even more because there are less coins being graded because dealers quit grading the modern sets.

The silver eagles are higher about 99.00 from MCM on ebay was still a good deal. I didn't loose 100.00's of dollars to NGC and ebay selling them, I quit.

My cost to grade would have been 60.00 + 5.00 shipping. 30.00 (early bird) grading fee + 8.% handling. Primarily because of the 5 coin minimum for Modern special. plus let's say 15.00 shipping and insurance. For 113.00 total cost So I saved 14.00

Bottom line NGC and Ebay and Pay Pal have a huge reduction of people buying grading and selling coins so they must raise prices again

If I would have bought 1 set of 5
