IS A WORLD WITHOUT THIRD PARTY GRADERS IN OUR FUTURE

Greetings from the obsolete side: This will be my first journal in quite sometime. I have failed to comment on the hot topics lately because for the most part I have had no interest in them. American Silver Eagles are bullion I make money off them end of story. I got many chuckles out of reading about all the trials and tribulations caused by the 25th anniversary sets however they were very entertaining. Still I made no comments about it.

Now we have the blockbuster announcement about the banning of PCGS from the world sets. Ngc's explanation sounds a lot like they are trying to convince themselves that their bad decision wasn't so bad. I also believe that it is just a matter of time before all PCGS coins are banned from the NGC registry. I have become estranged by the their party graders for many reasons, the multiply labels, obsession with modern coins, the creation of plus grading. How about the creation of service that will verify that your coin grading service has given an accurate grade in the name of course of protecting the value of our coins, what a laugh. Protecting their bottom line is more like it. Collectors are getting it from all sides the governments of the world are all minting coins limiting the number tying to entice us to buy them and of course the TPG's claim to lock in the value you must have them graded. The whole market is getting top heavy and is moving in the direction of capsizing. Maybe there will be a pole shift back to people only collecting raw coins.
