Too many sets
Dealers/brokers?
I suppose I am the only guy in the universe who doesn't know the answere to this. Did the Mint produce extra coins for the brokers, dealers/mints who are big internet sellers? Buy this I mean besides the 100,000 for sale to the public. Could they have gotten rolls upon rolls of these coins just for the purpose of a tremendous price cascade?
Its seems that everyone said get a set if you can cuz there won't be any left. Just look at Ebay and the on-line folks how many there are already certified and those 5 to a box people have for sale. Then on top of this will be the non early releases yet to be released.
I am one of the suckers who bought a 69 a 70 and an unopened set to be used later on down the line. Can you imagine the person who bought the "first one on the net"? I think it went for $3800.00. My 70 was close, but to make me feel special they gave me a mohogany box for the 70 set and a discount on the 69, YAHOOOOO!
Anyway does anyone elso think the mint produced more than the 100,000 sets? Give me your feel on this.
Oh, and while I am at it, I am a bit riled that NGC would not let my 70s be entered in my sets until not Monday the 5th, but Tues the 6th and only after calling did I get them entered.
Well Eagles-r-It fans or unfans, of which there are some, I hope and more fans than the other, spit out your 2 cents worth. Thanks for listening, and good luck on your future collecting journeys.
