No sour grapes here, I did the math I knew that 100,000 sets divided by 5 sets per household was only 20,000 purchasers. Dont say your boycotting the 25th SAE set You might as well say your boycotting the 10th Anniversary Set. Here what I did to get my sets.

In my opinion we as collectors need to be smart and persistent, I have an order from the mint and I know the "web site" never crashed. We cant make the coin company's in Florida act responsible, it's greed. But I have to say they were smart to attain as many of these sets as possible, I was.

I didn't give up, I was persistent and got my 5 sets. I did the math, 5 sets per household divided by 100,000 offered is only 20,000. customers. I figured they would be out by the end of the day. Everyone in my family circle received their orders and got their sets. Some with newer computers had less problems, If they changed the browser they used they had different and sometimes better results. One thing I know is the US Mint's web site never crashed.

I have to admit I saw the e-mails from MCM, BMC, CFC, that they would buy my sets at a small token profit, while they gouge the public for 10 times the cost for a pf70 set. All it did was reinforce my earlier suspicions I had to be creative and persistent if I was to get my sets.

This is America, you have the right to boycott the 25th Anniversary set, but the longer you do it, the more out of reach they will become. It's like saying I'm boycotting the 10th anniversary Eagles because I can't afford it. I say the sooner you buy them the cheaper they will be for you.

I was so certain of the shortage I decided to buy a set of five additional sets of the 25th anniversary eagles on Ebay the very same day they went on sale.

So on Oct, 27th at 4:10 EST. or 1:30 PST. for only $2,200.00. I purchased an additional 5 sets, a real bargain at today's prices.

Oh for the record, I'm boycotting the PF70 1995 W Silver American Eagle because I can't afford it. The 1995 W PF70 SAE is the only perfect eagle missing from my set. Mine is a PF69, the rest are seventy's. Would anyone be willing to trade?
