They are 81 and 82 years younger than Mr. Coopers!

Like I said in one of my earlier entries, I bought these at a flea market probably around 1979-81 (I was 16 or 18). The guy wanted $10.00 a peice for them, and I did the usual "well, I don't know, I just want them as a joke to tell my Ma look what I found in the back yard" type deal, but I knew that with that kind of strike, they really had to be old. He didn't know what they were and couldn't find anything about them in any coin books, and after I asked him if I could have them BOTH for $10.00, he accepted. It wasnt till Feb of this year that I submitted them for grading. Hey, after 400+ years, what's another 25 years later for grading, right?? Hope you enjoy the pics. The 1587 is a French 1/4 ecu, with Henry III, and the 1588 H is a French 1/2 franc, with Henri IIII (IV). Still looking for a price on these because, per usual, as I type in the NGC number and look for the pop reports, I come up with 1795 1/2 capped cents, just like my 2006 silver eagle from NGC. Even with some of these types of setbacks, they are still better than PCGS!
