IT'S MY DIME AND I'LL TRY IF I WANT TO

WHAT WOULD YOU IF THIS HAPPENED TO YOU

LESLIE GOREGreetings Fellow Coin Aficionados: Have you ever bought the same coin twice in three weeks time? It just happened to me. Let me explain, in my dogged pursuit of the elusive 1942 S MS67 FB for my Merc short set, you can go months with out seeing even one but recently there have been three of them listed on eBay. One was an NGC the price was $700 obo I made an offer on that one but could not come to terms with the seller I was stuck on $350 he was stuck on $560. There was another one at a straight BIN for $499 20% higher than I wanted to go so I passed on that one. Then low and behold a new one was listed at $450 obo. I made an offer of $300 and got a counter offer back of $375, I made a new offer of $350 and then went to bed. Upon awakening, grabbed my coffee and headed for the computer, booted up and checked my eBay account and was greeted with: You bought this item on eBay 1942s MS67 FB. My offer was accepted or so I thought. I tried to pay for it but I couldn?t. The seller had already marked it as paid, and sent e-mail that it had already been shipped. There must be some kind of mistake. I sent off an e-mail explaining what was happening and that it seemed to me that the problem was on his end, and if he could give me his e-mail address I could send the payment directly to him. As the exchange of e-mails went on the seller became rude and angry. The second to last one stated: If I could prove I sent payment he would send the coin unless pay-pal has already sent it. He was not going to give this coin away Ha Ha Ha GOOD LUCK WITH THAT BUDDY. In the last one he stated I will keep my coin and you can keep your blank blank money. There was nothing more I could do but wait the required time and slam him with a neg, which I did. Of course then he filed a unpaid item case. Still hopeful I could get the coin and using the opening he gave me I paid for the coin but he sent the money right back. So to end the chapter we agreed not to complete he got his fees back case closed.I check to see if and when he would relist and he did a couple of days later. This time BIN for $575 three days later he reduced it by 25% to $ 431.25 but only lasting for one week. I thought about just giving the guy the $431.25 I wanted that coin!!! Of course when I tried to buy it I found out that I was BLOCKED, but I wanted that coin!!!! The sale expired and surprisingly he changed the listing back to the original form $450.00 obo. Now I have an alternate eBay site, which I use from time to time to buy things that I might sell on eBay and don?t want in my feedback. It of course has a different user name. I put in an offer for $375. It was accepted. It came today and is beautiful White with luster that just don?t quit. It is now in my set and it moved me in to 12th place. The set is pretty much as far as I can take it. Until I can find a 1945 s MS67 FB GOOD LUCK WITH THAT BUDDY!!!!!!!. I am going on vacation next week I promise to get the gallery update. Later JimL4004
