And they look much better!
Hi everyone,
Back in February I posted a journal entry about how I "bought the slab and not the coin" involving 2005 MS John Marshall Commemorative Silver $1 in a banged up slab. I just got it back today from NGC and...WOW... what a difference it makes. It's great admiring the coin now that I am not looking at it through a haze of scratches and scuff marks. It turned out to be a very good buy once all the costs were figured in.
I also sent in a 1995 WWII $1, 2001 Capitol 50c, and a 2004 Lewis & Clark $1 that needed new slabs. They all look much better. Going through my collection, those were the ones that needed new plastic. Some others have a few minor dings but nothing worth sending them in for.
Enjoy them coins and don't worry too much about your ranking in the regisrty.
Jeffrey
