Collect what you like, like what you Collect.

Coin Collectors: Once upon a time I too got caught up in the points race. I had some high-ranking sets including a #1 shared with around 25 others and received two awards for a 1st place set with the 25 others. The coins were easy to get, not very expensive and worth lots of points, I amassed over 100,000 registry points. I finally realized that I did not even like these coins and even with their cost being relatively low that they were in fact loosing want little value they had, not there assigned value (Numismedia) but real value I found this out after selling some of them. Their graded value is not even listed on the Grey Sheet (CDNL). I won?t even go in to how many of these coins will remain in uncirculated condition over the years to come. I am not against collecting them they just aren?t for me. Since removing them for my sets and shedding about 60,000 points I couldn?t be happier. I have since gain back about 20,000 of those lost points. I have two sets that are my serious sets the short set of Mercury Dimes ?SHORT TAKES? and my Peace Dollar set ?I?M AT PEACE TOO. When they are complete they will both be top 20 sets. They will never be #1 I don?t have the time or the means to acquire the coins of the caliber to make even a top 5 in these categories. I just up dated the Gallery pictures for these sets and they are looking pretty good check them out if you get the chance. To sum up collect the coins you like whatever they are you only have to please your self!!! Competition is for Bowling, Golf, Tennis, Softball, Volley ball and others sports Coin Collecting is a hobby.
