Dont just delete survey's!!

Heritage Auctions taught me this lesson.

Roughly two months ago, I was running down the hundreds of emails i had received in my personal e-mail account. Normally i would just delete most emails based on the title of it, and surveys usually get deleted the fastest. I dont like people prying into my preferences of collecting, reading, listening etc. etc. But that day i decided to open the e-mail, i read how they would be awarding some of the respondants a coin as a prize. So i answered the questions and sent it back to them.

Well, two weeks ago i got a phone call from an employee of heritage. He went on to inform me of how I had won a coin, i was sceptical about it, and kept asking if he was serious, and if he was yanking my chain, just for him to keep insisting that it was legit and he was indeed Serious. At first when he told me what i had won it didn't register, then he said "It's worth enought to buy a small car", now I have never owned a new car, all the cars i had ever purchased were used.

Then it all clicked "A mint state High Relief Double Eagle" I repeated in my head what he had said, "Holy mess"(excuse my language) I shouted out. My wife at this time was starting to panic due to my reactions.

I received this beautiful NGC graded MS60 WIRE RIM 1907(ROMAN NUMERALS) DOUBLE EAGLE THIS PAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON VIA U.S.P.S REGISTERED MAIL. All because i took the time to fill out the survey and respond. It is worth $16,560.00, i have never won anything and to win something like this was nothing short of a miracle.

So, the moral to this story is maybe by taking a second to do something that is out of the norm, may just be very rewarding. i have it listed in my registry but no picture is posted of it yet haven't gotten that far, but i will do so soon.

Thanks Heritage, Thank you Lord for the Blessing. And thank all of you who took the time to read this, Have a Great Day and good Luck to You!!
