Thanks to the hobby of Metal Detecting, I have become re-interested in Coins, Currency, The Minting Process from the 18th century to present and the history of how the exchange of Coins/ Currency has shaped our Economy.From the Revolutionary War to future Wars, Currency has played a major role in society. They say it will be replaced someday,but lets hope not. This will only lead to the extinction of a great hobby and life as we know it. " Its not the value of a coin that interests me, it's the historical significance that coins play a role in". I look at a coin like a King George 1/2 Cent that I found and imagine what life was like years before events like the signing of The Declaration of Independence and before Our Country had a President and say "WoW"!
