REVAMPED, RENEWED & DONE OVER
PEACE INDIANS EAGLES OH MY
Salutations Fellow Numismatists: It has been several months since my last entry in the journal. I have been very busy recreating my humble collections in a new direction. I have forsaken modern coins for the most part and will remove the remaining ones some time in the future. I would sell the Presidents dollars in a minute if I could get out of them what I put in, but that isn?t ever going to happen as they are pretty much worthless except in point value. An 1895o Barber dime in F-15 is worth 3 points, my whole set of Presidential dollars is 11,000 and some odd points. Anyone want to trade a 95o Barber dime for them? Sorry I got off the subject a little. I am no longer going to acquire coins that will have to be upgraded in the future; the ones I get now will be keepers. I have stripped and am rebuilding my Peace Dollar and my Indian Head Penny sets both are worth about the same amount as the old ones but with far fewer coins. I am no longer going to be a slave to filling the holes some are not worth filling. I will also not be thinking in terms of how many points this or that is worth. That is one of the things that is turning me off. I can?t believe people are worrying about points to dollar ratios. For all you American Silver Eagle fans out there did you know that 22% of all the NGC graded ASE?s are 2010 MS69?s what will you bet that 2011?s will beat that after all it is the 25th anniversary of the ASE.
