Late as usual. Some new additions to the collection. I'm firming up the criteria for the collection.

I had intended to make this a weekly entry, but as usual I've already missed a week. Typical of me as my blog went the same way. However, since I'll be on this site more often then maybe just maybe I'll be able to do better this time.

I've added some new coins during the past two weeks and actually reached the top ten for one year (1957). However, this scatter shot method I've been using has got to change. I'm going to concentrate on finishing years one at a time after my last set of purchases arrives and gets entered here.

Toward that end, I've started establishing the criteria to minimize upgrades for my existing coins and establish a regular buying pattern for the future. Everything for the first 15 years, 1946-1960, will be MS66 eventually. A matching 15 year collection should be something to see. What the following years will be I'm not sure of yet.

I want to thank member Architecht for his response to my first post. He got me thinking about getting my grading skills updated. I've pulled out the grading books from my small library and started to read them again. It will make for a nice winter project to go through all the ungraded mint and proof sets and see if I can determine just what I have on hand.
