HAVE YOU EVER GOTTEN THIS BACK AS A GRADE?
I am looking at the "Grades" on line for two 1916 5 kopek coins with the following grades: invoice number 2759098
"QUESTIONABLE AUTHENTICITY" & "AUTHENTICITY UNVERIFIABLE" from those "Expert" graders at NGC.
What am I suppose to do with these remarks? They are not grades, they are not "Not Genuine", what do I say to the company that sold them to me? NGC says they can't tell if the coins are real or not, fake or not, gunine or not and I have to pay for this unprofessional responce to a simple question of authenticity? The seller is going to laugh at me and ask why I don't send them to a professional grading service who can tell what is real and what is not. I called and asked to speak to the graders, ha ha, they don't speak to customers and customer service doesn't have a good idea or any idea that they can communicate to me that will explain the grades these coins have received. I feel like I've been left dangling in the wind because the graders apparentially don't know enough about the coins they are suppose to be grading to give someone a straight answer, but they have the guts to charge you for it. Next stop is going to be PCGS maybe they can come up with a straight answer since the pros at NGC can't.
6/17/2010 JOURNAL UPDATE - PCGS HAS RETURNED THIS COIN AS "GENUINE - FILED RIMS".
SEE FOR YOURSELF! I HAVE POSTED THE OTHER SIDE IN MY NEXT JOURNAL.
