How to clean a slab, confirmation
Yes i know im sure everyone has read the last two post and that should be it but i am also going to add my 2 cents
I agree with audrop, the slab-renew slab cleaner is prob the best product i have found to remove scratches from slabs.
The product works really well for GSA morgan dollars & with a little patience and elbow grease you can remove basically any "normal" scratch on one of these plastic cases.
NGC slabs i believe are the second easiest to remove scratches with this product, majority of scratches can be removed although the deeper ones will still be there & it will require considerable elbow grease to rub the scratches out
PCGS slabs are the hardest slabs to remove scratches, the product works on light scratches and scuffs only and even then it takes a lot of elbow grease...worth a go though especially on the older slabs
I havnt tried the product on the new NGC slabs but im sure i will soon as i have found these really "hairline" easy...i thought NGC trialed a scratch resistant holder, in fact i know they did as i got a few coins graded onsite in these new holders about a year ago & received the little cleaning cloths(like sunglass cleaning cloth)...did they not continue this for all submissions? too expensive i guess...or another money spinner...why produce a scratch proof slab...there wouldnt be any reason to regrade due to scratched holders
Finally i dont work for the company that makes the slab-renew product nor do i sell it, just wanted to give my opinion. I actually think the product may just be a form of liquid car polish....might do some investigation, either way it works! a product that actually does what the seller says it does...amazing!
