Ever wonder what happened to that coin that got "lost or stolen" in the mail to you?

I kept the registry number of my coin and "TA-DA" It showed up.

Now, before I go on into my story, I must say that I will not give away the type of coin, who sold it to me or any other identifying comments, just in case the buyer really did get this coin legit.

About two years ago I bought a year set of coins for my collection/ mom and dad. Not something that I have ever done before, but it was the year that my parents got married, and I was going to give it to them on their anniversary. I paid around $300.00 for this set. I waited for it to arrive. Two, three, four weeks passed. No coins. I contacted the seller. Inside I felt taken, my money stolen, and a little nervous to accuse the seller of not sending me my property. You see, I had been burned on Ebay a long time back, my fault, I trusted too much then. The seller took a week to "Look into it". Now, I am really freaking out to my self. I can't tell anyone, they would just call me dumb or something. When the seller did get back to me, to my surprise, he informed me that he would refund my money, due to the fact that they had got lost in the mail. I thought that was very stand-up of him, even though he should have sent it registered and not regular mail.I got my money back within a week, and the seller got a life long customer. Was that the end of the story? Nope!! I thought that I would register one of the coins into my registry just to see what comes of it. I didn't need the coin so it never showed on my sets, it was just registered to me. Within this year, I was contacted about letting the coin go, so that someone could register it to their set. I informed NGC, "no problem", however, please inform this seller to find out if the coin was still his. Now, maybe, the coin set was found and sent back to the seller, maybe, he had forgot to send them to me. Maybe, he changed his mind about selling them to me for that price. Well, we'll never know, but, it sure does throw some questions out there. I wonder if there is any registry police at NGC?
