All That Copper
I Shall Keep On Keepin' On
I do intend to continue hoarding copper. I think everyone except a few beginners know that you never receive full price when selling scrap, or ANYTHING for that matter. But if you hoard copper to sell in a few months, do not look for any profit. The good thing about copper pennies is that they have a cross value as coins in a collection. You cannot lose by hoarding them. As for them taking up too much space, ... well we have a house with 3 bedrooms, one designated for storage, and our 100,000's of copper pennies (we know they are not 100% copper also, but thanks for the tidbit) fit in the room just fine, and we even have room for, oh lets see... probably about another 20 or 30 BILLION of them. But for you guys that live in a small apt with limited space, you may want to collect a smaller amount, say maybe a few billion. But remember, as long as copper pennies are in circulation, they are an untapped future investment that most people still do not recognize, and that is GOOD. Fewer people going to the bank and buying up all the copper specimens. The rolls I buy each week contain less than 1/2 copper pennies. Still pretty good, but it will get worse as more people start to realize that this new market WILL be profitable to those who are patient, and listen to their inner collector. I will continue to buy $20 to $50.00 of rolls each week, every week, until I die, or until they are all gone from circulation. I will sort them out, recycle the newer ones, and keep on keepin' on! Have a great day everyone.
