Bouncing Beagles

Well, I Have done it again!! Starting a new set!!! This time it is the 1/4oz. Gold American Eagles. Love the gold coins!!! I started the set with the 1995, which I scored last week. It arrived yesterday, and I started the set registry today with the addition of this coin!!! First one in my set!!!!! It is a super example, just needs to go in for the usual re-holdering into the new Edge-View. Will keep adding as I can!!!!

2-26-10 My first $10 gold Eagle came home today in its new Edge-View holder. Looks great! I did add scans to my registry set. I haven't been working to hard on this set lately. I shall get on the move here soon!!!!

3-15-10 Well, after a break, (to finish up the $5.00 Eagles,) I added my second coin to this set today! Great to be working on this set again!!! The 2005 arrived via the USPS in fine shape. It really looks great! It will need a new Edge-View, so scans will have to wait. I did add it to my set. Will keep adding as dollars permit!!!!!!

3-22-10 The 96 arrived today! Way cool! I love to add coins to my sets!!! This one is really nice. I will have to send in for re-holdering as usual, but added it to my set already. Three down, 18 to go!!! I really like these gold Eagles!!!!!!

3-31-10 The 2003 version showed up today. Really nice example. Not rare, but nice to be able to add to my set. It will need the usual re-holdering, but it is here!!!! Hunting for more, but not a lot out there at reasonable prices lately. Will keep looking!!!!!!

4-8-10 Finally was able to add to this set today. The 2007 arrived in fine shape. Nice coin, very nice. Been a bit since my last addition. Not a lot of great deals out there on these things right now. At least none I've seen! Lot of way over priced coins, but I will hold tight looking for good deals. Gold is hot right now, so.....I will send in for re-holdering, and scan in when it returns!!!!

4-9-10 Gee, a coin a day!!! The 1990 edition for this set arrived today!!! Really super example! I added her in to my set. Needs the usual re-holder-a-roo, so scans will come later.

Last one I have coming. Will need to look a little harder for some good deals!!!! Cash is a bit tight, so.......TTFN!!!!

4-14-10 The 05 I sent in for re-holdering came home yesterday. I went ahead and added scans this morning! Another one bites the dust!!! I am waiting on three or four more to return home as of right now. When they arrive, will get them in my set as well. Still looking for good deals to add!!!!

4-15-10 The 1988 version of the $10 Beagle arrived today in the mail. It is a very nice example, a perfect 70!!! Glad to add it to my set. It is in the old style holder, so will send in for a new Edge-View soon. Scans when it returns!!!!! Seven down, 14 to go!!!!!

4-22-10 I was able to add two Beagles to Lehmann's set today! The 91 and 01 both arrived this morning! Way cool!! They are both really nice examples. Perfect is the word! I really like the proof gold-so shiny and flashy. A real thrill to get two in one day!!!! They both need re-holdering into Edge-View holders, so stay tuned for scans!!!

4-23-10 Wow-two more Beagles today!!!! Yippeeee!!! I added the 02 and 06 coins to the set today. Both really nice, both e-bay wins. Won on same day, arrived on same day, two different sellers!! Fun, fun!!! Man, do I dig the gold Eagles. These are just way cool. Done for now, as funds are a bit tight!!! I will keep my eyes peeled for good deals, though. I am about half way there on this set. Ten more regular label years to go. I will also look for the one FS red label and the two ER blue labels to have a complete set. These two will go in Monday for re-holdering into new Edge-View holders.

4-27-10 I was able to scan in the 96 and 03 Beagles today. Both returned from NGC in new edge-view holders. They look pretty good. I am having trouble with my scanner, gonna call a pal and see if he can help me adjust the @#$%&*! thing. I hope next go around I can get it working right again! Bummer to be so dumb about these things, but what can I say.

5-12-10 After a bit of a lull in adding to this set, the 2006 First Strikes PF-70 arrived today. Glad to get this one, as pop is only 95 in FS label. I know it is no big deal-just a label, but I want to put together a complete set as best I can. I will also try and snag the 07 and 08 Early Releases labels as well. I won't add this coin to my registry-I only add in the regular issues, and I already have the 06 regular label in my set. I will send in for re-holdering into a new Edge-View holder with my next batch of coins.

5-13-10 My seven Eagles that I sent in for re-holdering arrived back at the ranch today! They are all resplendant in their new Edge-View holders!!!! These holders are so much better looking than the old ones!!!!! I got the 88 scanned in, and over the next few days will get the rest done and into the set. Wish I could get some deals on some of the dates I am missing. Would like to move ahead on this set!!!!!!

5-14-10 I was able to get the scans done this morning before work!! Got up early...... Anyway, it is nice to have all the coins in this set done!!!! All caught up. Now I just need to find the rest of the needed coins to finish up!!!! I will keep looking!!!!!

5-14-10 Hello again!!!! The Postman delivered the 1994 edition of this set today!!! Won it on E-Bay May 10, and here it is already!! Perfect 70 example. Excellent!!!! I added it in, and will send in for a new holder with my next batch. Nice to add a coin to the set today!!! Happy Friday!!!!!

5-17-10 Another day, another coin!!!! Coooooool!!!! Today the 1989 arrived via UPS. Really a nice coin. Nice strike, just superb all around. Came in an old style holder with a funky label I have never seen before. It says "Gold" on the left front, kind of cool looking, but....I will send in for a new Edge-View holder soon, and will have a regular label put on it so it matches all the others. Man, love to get coins in!!!! Kind of a high point of the day. Work was long and kind of hard today, and the Gold Beagle was waiting for me!!!! Fun close of the Monday!!!!! Will see what tomorrow brings!!!

5-20-10 The 07 Early Releases label coin came in today. Very nice!!!!! Great example of this coin. I won't add to the registry set, but nice to have it!!! Only need the 08 Early Releases to have all three different labels. I will send in for a new Edge-View holder soon. TTFN!!!!!

5-25-10 The 97 version of this Eagle landed today. Really super example!!! Perfect 70 for sure. I did get a good deal on it as well!!!! It will go in for a new Edge-View, and then I will add scans. Down to 7 needed regular labels and the 08 ER label to complete this set. Lookin' hard!!!!!!

5-29-10 The 92 edition of this coin showed up today. Perfect 70 for sure. Nice Saturday surprise!!!!! I added her in, and am now down to six to go!!!! I bid on two last night, gotted skunked by a long shot!!! Oh, well, win some, lose some. I will send this one in for re-holdering next week. Have 3 or four others of this series, and a couple gold commems I think. I will add scans when they return!!!!!

6-10-10 The 93 arrived today!! Yeah!!! One of the lower pop coins in this set. Glad I finally got one
