My 1st Coin Purchase of 2010
...and my procrastination of submitting my coins...
Greetings and Happy New Year everyone!
I have been a bit busy (again) with the new school semester and am finding this quiet moment to finally post here.
I made my first coin purchase this year a week ago...well a pre-order actually of an ER 2010 SAE MS 70, cost me about 120 dollars. I am looking forward to seeing it next month sometime.
Any new coins I buy (new as in the year of release) will only be MS 70's I have decided. I am happy getting the MS 69's for past years as I cannot afford the thousands they go for, but for my future collecting and collections, I think buying the 70's for a little over a hundred is a great way to go. It seems the coin keeps it's worth or even becomes worth a greater amount this way. The 69's seems to lose or hold value.
I am also confused on what I want to do for my submissions this year. As a paid member I get 5 free gradings a year, I though I's submit some missing eagles (silver) that I bought raw at auction, but now I wonder if I should just buy those pre-graded and send my morgans and peace dollars and my VDB penny. I am still weighing the benefits and/or casualties of doing either.
I am hoping for a great coin year this year. I hope the Mint thrills us all and makes our interests in the hobby an even more exciting one.
All the best to you this year!!
