Finals (finally) and Goals for 2010

Been a busy week...

Greetings!

First of all, good luck to all of you competing in this years sets and journals. I hope you all had time to get your sets and journals ready for judging. This is my first eligible year on the coin side with 55% of my SAE set complete, so I am excited to see if my set is good enough to win anything.

Last week was finals week in my classes, and I am happy to report so far I have done well ( my poli-sci class is graded in totality, and my humanities class is 99% graded, I am showing "A" in both) but, I have not had a lot of time to post here or even check in to read any journals, so I am a little behind.

I have thought of my goals for next year, and I will list them here. Simple, but a little expensive.

1. Obtain the 2010 US MINT Proof Set. I loved last (this) years. It gave me an opportunity to collect something new while still getting my Prezzies in Proof mintage. Maybe this is a set I will subscribe to.

2. Finish the SAE set. I am close to this goal already, half way there anyway. Last (this) year I spent paying for the last half of the set as most of the coins were put on credit cards. The cards are all paid down, so looks like I can get the coins I need for this goal. I am considering buying them all at once from a dealer this time instead of winning at auctions, but my mind is not made yet.

I am hopeful that 2010 brings the "W" SAE's back, too. AND the Proof SAE's. My two favorite coins took a break from the mint, but I am hopeful that this will only be temporary.

I hope you all have the best xmas, and a grand New Years eve!! All the best to you!!
