My first journal entry and this will certainly not be my last. I look forward with great enjoyment in continuing my journal and to keep anyone listening or friends that I make to follow.

Today is the first of many journal entries that I will be making. I have been collecting coins since I was a child, for about 20 years so far. Until recently I have kept my collection limited to the most common coins; Pennies (Wheat and Lincoln), Nickels, Dimes, and Quarters. These are what I have been collecting since a child, with me recently purchasing proper albums to organize, store and display properly. My tactic for these coins is to obtain the best example that I can, when I see a coin in better condition I will replace what I already have with the better condition coin. None of these coins are NGC Certified.

It wasn't until recently that I decided to start collecting certified coins. After doing some research I determined that the NGC was the best grading service available. They also have an incredible infrastructure setup with collectors being able to display their collections, register them, and compare and communicate with other collectors and their collections.

This is an awesome site for resources and information relating to superiour quality and graded coins. After doing some research regarding the membership to the NGC I have decided that I am going to upgrade my current NGC account from the Free Membership to the Premium Membership.

I'm extremely excited to join this community and have a more active role in it. From the information services to the forums. I am happy to join this community and look forward to the future in my collecting and gaining knowledge.
