Yesterday?s coin is a rarer coin and today?s best value; do you want to know what it is? In my opinion, it?s mostly forgotten and a better looking coin.

The Buffalo fury is on. I have seen an EBay auction sell a 2008 W Mint mark PF70 Buffalo sell for $3,999.95, what?s behind the fever? Is it the current price of gold or is it the Rarity of the 2008 Buffalo? It can?t be the mintage number. Because the MS 70 W mint mark on the Buffalo uncirculated version is half the mintage of the proof version.

I think it?s the chase. Everyone is learning and desiring the 2008 W proof buffalo. Do you remember the fever associated with the 20th anniversary Reverse proof? They were selling for $5,000.00 for the individual coin. I researched that coin too and found a 2006 Reverse PF70 sell for $2883.99.

There were only 10,000 Reverse proof gold eagles minted.

There were 19,571 W Proof 1 oz Gold buffalos in 2008 minted.

There were 9,699 W Uncirculated Gold Buffalos in 2008 minted,

Today?s deal of the day is the 2006 Reverse PF70 Gold Eagle. It?s under the radar.

Finding a deal in raw coins is difficult; I believe we are being priced out of the market. Last night the spot price for gold was at 1207.00 per oz. if this trend continues the 1 oz gold buffalo will be 1510.00 on Thursday. The media is continuing to fuel the fire regarding the purchase price of gold. I keep wondering why they don?t mention the price of silver. Silver has out performed gold in the last year I remember in November 2008 it was only $8.90 per oz now it?s $19.17 per oz.

I guess we better be glad for what we have in gold because I don?t know how many people will be able to continue buying it. All I know is if I was buying a 2009 gold Buffalo I would buy it from EBay. The 2009 are selling for $1620.00 for pf70. The mint is going to charge $1510.00.

I guess if we knew what was behind the driving force of coin collectors we would all be rich. Hope you get all the coins you?re searching for.
