1st entry: Out with the old (new) and in with the new.

First let me say I think I have found a solution to the SAE mintage issue. Morgan collectors send your coins back to the mint for melt, with your help we should be able to SAE program back on track. ;)

All joking aside, I have been a coin collector for the entirety of my life, though I am late to certified coins. I only recently started collecting modern issues and slabs with the statehood quarter series (and to all who will complain that modern issues are unworthy of collecting please note my passion is for Roman gold: New is a relative term, I know people who would consider anything minted in the A.D. modern). With the slabs came this community which I have thoroughly enjoyed for the past two years, and now that I have hit 100,000 I feel that I can finally particpate in.

It is often heard here: Collect what you like, and looking at my sets about a month ago I realized that I was simply collecting. Unfocused, I was buying anything and everything as long as it was PF70 and in an NGC slab. (The realization hit when I found that I had built a top 25 set insomething I had little to no interest in completely by accident: Roosevelt Proof dimes). I looked long and hard at what I enjoyed and why and it became clear that I enjoyed series with changing patterns: Commemoratives, Quarters and Presidents.

With this in mind, I decided to do a bit of spring cleaning (as with everything I do its a little late, given its now Fall. Out with pennies, nickels, dimes, and halves as I need more room for Commermoratives. I tried ebay and like everyone here has commented it is a pain so off to Teletrade this sunday they went. Strangely, even though I don't appreciate the series, I'm hoping my coins find a good home where they will be loved and cared for, and looked upon fondly. I'm curious as to how this will turn out given that I've never sent off items before. I'll keep you updated

As a closing note, my handle here refers to my profession as a CPA and tax accountant, feel free to ask any questions.

Finally, NGC thank you for providing a forum which has resulted in a great community.
