A Trip to the Casino, lack of coins????
Things are different now....
Greetings everyone!
Yesterday I took a 2 hour bus trip from Salt Lake City to Wendover, Nevada to see the Alice Cooper show at a concert hall there, and to gamble and eat a buffet at the casino.
I was excited to go for many reasons, which is more suitable for a blog than a journal entry here, but one of the aspects that excited me was the idea that maybe while playing slots, I would encounter an old nickel, or a pre-1964 quarter, but things have changed.
The slots don't spew out coins anymore. Now you get a sound effect and a ticket with a UPC code prints out where you then can cash in the ticket for paper monies. It had been years since I made it to a casino, and was quite disappointed at the new way things are done.
However, the buffet and the Alice Cooper show were both fantastic and worth the trip.
On a more steady coin note, I have bought some black cloth as a back drop for my (hopefully better) photo attempts for my SAE set, I will most likely be adding these (hopefully better) photos in a couple weeks, as well as other sprucing ups of the descriptions, etc. I am hoping for at least an honorable mention for the set awards in December.
Good luck to you all, and all the BEST to you!
