and it's has been quite some time!

Hello everybody...It has been awhile since I have posted here but I am still coming by to read the journals and chat boards. I think my last post was in June and that also was the last time I purchased a coin!

But I did make a purchase of some copper and brass a couple weeks ago. It wasn't a coin but an antique copper and brass chemical fire extingusher. I found this in an antique store in Virginia City when the family went to check out the camel races. I have been looking for one to restore but this is in awesome shape and at a good price.

The last few months I have diverted most of my money from coins to antique firefighting equipment. I also have a fire hydrant and a few other items that need to be cleaned up. The hydrant I am taking apart and cleaning but it does take some time to strip off about 7 layers of paint and rust from all the nooks and crannies but it should be done soon. Then a nice paint job will finish it up.

Now that I have got some stuff to keep me busy, I am back to my coin collection. My next purchases will be the PF-70 2006 reverse proof SAE and some modern comms as soon as the fund are available.
