world's fair dollars
Hello,
With all the NGC bandying going on lately I just wanted to post something good about NGC.
I sent in 2 Morgan dollars that were housed in holders from the 1962 World's Fair. I was hopeful that they would get a pedigree for that. Woefully it was not to be. I have been in contact with Brian Sillman from NGC regarding these 2 coins for over 3 weeks. And after many discussions (e-mails) it was decided that they could not offer the pedigree to these coins as there was no way to prove that these coins are from the World's Fair. Other than my input(they were removed from a safe 2 weeks before I sent them in) from a good friend who's Uncle passed away 3 weeks earlier. My friend was at the fair when his Uncle purchased them. But alas, they were not in SEALED holders so no pedigree.
Mr. Sillman worked hard to see what he could do for me and I appreciate his effort involved. They even paid for the freight charges to send them back to me.
Even though they have their problems, they still try to care of us collectors. I have had several disappointing episodes with NGC, but this time (even though I did not get what I wanted) I was treated with respect and am fine with the outcome. Kudos to NGC!!!
Good Luck Everybody,
Todd
