"NEW" details slabbing

What does it do? How do the coins place in society, let alone the registry society?

The brief description that NGC and NCS gave about the new system for problem coins, kind of baffles me a bit. After reading how they would now grade/ slab those coins, I now see a slot for registering them into my registry set listings. Now I am confussed. Will points still be atributed to the details listing? I have a Canadian "1950 Arnprior" dollar that was recently bodybagged back to me. Now they did say that NCS could slab this, and now it would be "detailed". Now does this mean that every coin that has been scrubbed, rubbed polished and run over will, or can end up being sold at coin shows, or onto the registry? I understand that certain coins should be conservered, as in my coin. You see my coin is one of only 500 1950 PL dollars. So when I got it, I new that it was damaged. Someone had scrated the letters "ES", just below the King's head. Due to it's rarety, and scacity, I do believe that it should be conserved. What, if any, points would, or could it add to my Canadian PL dollar set? Yes I want the coin, I guess with the damage that It's value would only be a few hundred dollars, at most. It is probably the only one that I could ever afford to place into the slot in my PL dollar set. Back to that question though. Does it or will it grant any points to my set? The next question then is. Is it possible for the registry sets to fill up with "damaged" coin sets. I mean sets that are all filled with "detailed" coins. We all know that when we work on our sets, we spend alot of effort and time, let alone money, to create quality sets, the only type of set that the registry, due their standards, will allow. I know, some of our coins are low grade coins and that they either need to be upgraded, or we accept the low points that they bring. I don't have any issues with this. It just makes me question as to where the registry, let alone the collector base in general is headed. If any one has any info. or thoughts to this please write a journal. To enlighten and educate me about this.
