Not Buffalo Springfield's 1967 Song

Yes, this is a protest. There's something happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear. Recently one of the society members wrote a journal about bidding on coin lots on some internet auction sites that just up and disappear. Well, this just recently happened to me and i am going to name names. About a week ago I participated in TeleTrades coin auction for that night. Now, in the last month and a half I have spent about $5000 on their auction site upgrading my Lincoln Registry sets. On this particular night I was bidding on 2 minor date Lincolns that I had tracked for about a week prior to the auction. They both had bids on them and at the very end I placed bids on both of them. Then, magically those lots disappear. TeleTrade states that if lots do not show up in the past price realized list that those coins did not meet a reserve or the consignor bought them back. Ok, whatever. These 2 coins had bids including my own that were more than what any consignor would pay too buy them back and absolutely high enough bids for them both too sell outright. Gone, poof, disappeared. What happened too them. For a major auction house that sells hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of coins each week they should be a little more forthcoming. If that happens on minor coins, what else could be going on behind the scenes. I hope someone sees this and passes the concerns of collectors along too this particular company. Paranoia strikes deep, into your life it will creep, it starts when you're always afraid, you step out of line, the man come and take you away. Step up TeleTrade, For What It's Worth
