To buy one really great coin or a lot of common coins
I came into a little bit of money recently and found myself once again in the position of buying multiple inexpensive graded Morgan dollars or to buy one really nice Morgan. I had the same situation when I purchased my 1896-O Morgan dollar. I decided to once again go with one coin that was going to be tough to obtain in mint state on my budget. I purchased an 1893-P Morgan dollar graded by NGC as a MS60. I am so happy I was able to fill in one of those hard spots in my collection. So far my entire collection is a minimum mint state 60. I think the fun in collecting is that you don't collect the entire series in a short amount of time but, over many years. My wife would probably kill me if she knew how much I spent on my 1893-P and 1896-O. Oh well, I guess it will have to be just between you and me.
