Enviormental Damage on an encapsulated coin?
What is going on here?
In my last post I let everyone knnow that I purchased a toned Jefferson nickel, a 1939 Rev of 40 in a ANACS Holder PR64. Sent it in to PCGS for a crossover and I get it back in a body bag marked "ENVIORMENTAL DAMAGE". To say I was in shocked was an understatement. How could ANACS miss that? When and how did it happen?
I have sent it to NCG for a clean up and off to NGC for a new encapsulation. I'll let you know.
