A Direction Change For the Better
I have said good Bye to my collection of ASE's not all of them but most of them, not because I had to but because I wanted to.
I deleted and desposed of my largest collection of Silver Eagles. They have lost their appeal, to me anyway. I would rather have a nice MS 62-63 27d, 27s, or 28s Peace Dollar than 19 American Silver Eagles. I still have all the MS70 Eagles and will hang on to them for awhile anyway. My change or heart started with the release of the UHR Saint-Gaudens copy coin. I Couldn't understand why anyone would want one of them, when for the same price you could have a nice MS 65 1926 St. Gaudens Double Eagle a real one. I really believe when all is said and done that the modern coins will mostly drop in price over the years as the pop of higher grades keeps increasing. Im sure that lots of you that are reading this will disagree. I am in know way stating anything but my opinion and as I have said before the older coins will always be my favorites. I still have quite a few modern sets that I will be keeping and even adding to for how long ??
