The economy finally bit me, too
I'm still kind of surprised
I was just told that I'm taking a rather hefty pay cut at work. I was totally surprised considering that my company has been able to bill out over $100K/month in processing charges for booking sales orders for a client via application software that I designed and wrote. I understand that other areas of our business are soft, and that the belt-tightening is across the board, but I still can't but feel bitter about the whole thing.
On top of that, I've had to lay out, and am continuing to lay out, what is rapidly approaching 10K this year on home repairs. Lost my well, then my HVAC, roof took damage in a windstorm. The list goes on....
Needless to say, as much as it pains me, I'm going to be divesting myself of a good portion of my collection shortly. I've already begun placing a few things on eBay, and may look into consigning to TeleTrade. Pardon the juvenile expression that I'm about to use, but it seems to be an appropriate description.
This bites!
