Circle the wagons and hunker down

Grading anticipation and introduction into the registry

Everyone has their own method of viewing the economy and understanding of good and or bad times. As a truck driver I just simply look at the number of trucks on the road and get a feel for if the economy is growing or slowing down. And now, it seems to be slowing significantly. The same trucking companies are on the road, just less trucks and the frequency of passing them or seeing them on the other side of the freeway. So, how does this affect me and any numismatic interests. Well it seems that now is a good time to circle the wagons and hunker down. What I mean by that is to understand ones finances completely and in my case severly limit new purchases. I might not be able to keep up with the US Mints annual production of the products that I'm interested in. So, instead of buying new issues from the mint, I think I will join the ANA or upgrade my NGC membership and start to send in the products I have received from the Mint since I started collecting in 2006. The bank safe deposit box is full and I could save space with those NGC and PCGS slotted coin holders, instead of the bulky boxes that the Mint sends their coins in. Also, I can get many coins graded for the price of one Gold Eagle. So, instead of the anticipation of receiving new products from the mint, I will await the return of graded coins from NGC and have the fun of introducing them into the Registry. This will no doubt cost some money but less than one year of major purchases from the Mint. Then in a year the or so, maybe we can get the wagon train back on the trail.... Hey Jake, what river is this anyway...... Ain't a river its called grizzley creek........ok, circle the wagons lets camp here.
