Lovely book isn't it !!

I actually opened my book when I got the coin about a week ago, and got someone to pick me up another book so I can put that one with the coin :D (thanks Sam again!)

I agree, the book is SUPERB. The amount of information is more than I expected. It also filled a gap in the mystery of the test strikes, done in Australia it would have been done by my local Perth Mint, who make the blanks for the coin. The gap ? Perth mint struck a 4mm thick, "high relief" Koala ;) once I established they made the blanks thanks to Pauline at Perth Mint, it became quite obvious this high relief gold Koala was somehow involved..

The book tells of test strikes done "in Australia". Most likely the US Mint spoke with Perth Mint officials at the coiners convention where this coin was first unveiled to other minters, or soon after. Perth Mint makes blanks for most mints around the world now, with the leading tools and processes in place.

So after some test strikes, why not strike a high relief coin just to be sure. I wonder who came up with the idea.. it would be nice to own one now the link is clear. It would be even nicer to own a set of those progression strikes ! 15, 25, 35, 45 and 55 ton strikes of the UHR. Really cool.

One not so easy to spot typo in the entire thing. I didn't spot it, usually I do. It's just a doubled word.
