I am forced to sell some of my collection.
The poor economy has hit home. My wife has been out of work for 6 months, I am only working every other week at this time, and the bills still need to be paid.
My goals for this year have now been put on hold and I have to make some sacrifices that I really did not want to make. I have spent many hours building my collection and I didn?t want to let any of my coins go, but it just had to happen.
So two weeks ago, I sent all of my Morgan Dollars and all of my Proof Silver Eagles off to a well known auction site. The response to these coins has been better than I had expected. Many of them have been sold and the extra money will help me survive these hard times.
I do look forward to the economy turning around and being able to go back to work fulltime. When this happens, I will be able to start over and hopefully replace all of the coins that I have had to sell.
Thanks for reading and I hope that no one else has to go through this experience.
Here is one that had to go.
