Watch out for scams
Hey,
I have been trying to find a 2005 Roosevelt Dime and a 2005 Kennedy Half (Both Clad and PF70).
Checked out many places online and no luck. Finally after a couple hours I came upon a dealer named FastCoin. I checked their inventory and they had both coins. GREAT! Placed an order via internet and sent an email to confirm stock. Answer: good to go.
Mailed money order Priority mail (they are in CA.) Rec'd email yesterday thanking me for order. (might have been computer generated, don't know.)
Get email today telling me that they were out of stock on the Kennedy but they have another one (PCGS) for $450.00 (NGC was $55.00) or they offered me a 2004 Kennedy!($70.00)
I responded with NO! Is this the old bait and switch game?
I was given the excuse that during the time I placed my order (online) and the time they rec'd payment they had sold the Kennedy (the only one) Now is it just me or has anyone else had similar issues?
I asked for my money back with the dime they had in-stock.
I rec'd a response saying that they would have to deduct shipping charges because my order did not meet the min. order $50(to get free shipping) and freight will be 8.75. If that isn't a crock of SH*T
So if anyone is looking for coins DO NOT try FastCoin they seem to be shaky to say the least.
Just wanted to pass this on. BEWARE
Be well
Todd
