Can anybody remember actually carrying those things in your pocket? I can. Glad the pants to my Leisure Suit didn't fall down.

I got the last coin I needed to complete my Proof 69 Ike set today. I won a 1977-S PR69DCAM for $10.10 on eBay, which I thought was a great deal for a PCGS-graded coin. One thing that surprised me when I was scouring for coins to complete this set, is how few NGC-graded Ikes were out there for sale. The number of PCGS-graded Ikes available just swamps them. Not that it matters all that much, but it does make me curious as to why that might be.

Next stop for me: SBA Dollars. They won't be as cheap to acquire as the Ikes were, though. PF70 Ikes are beyond my price range, and so I focused on PF69s, which are fairly inexpensive, as my purchase today shows. With SBAs, though, PF70s can be had for a lot cheaper than PF70 Ikes, but they still cost a fair amount on average, with the Type 2 SBAs being out of my range entirely. So, I'll work on obtaining PF70s where I can, and settle for less when I can't. Regardless, this set will be a work in process for quite a while to come.
