A big boost to my collection

I finally received my 1896-O NGC MS60 coin today. I am so excited that I finally have a coin in my collection that is some what rare. I recently came into some extra cash by selling off all of my least desirable coins. Eventually, I realized that I had started collecting different type sets. I came to the conclusion that I should concentrate on only one set at a time, my Morgan dollar collection. I sat around for 2 weeks thinking whether I should buy multiple Morgan dollars all graded in mint state, or buy one really expensive coin in mint state. I told myself that I may not have this much money at one time to spend on coins, so I decided to find one coin that was fairly rare.

One day I was browsing through ebay when I came across an 1897-O NGC MS61, 1886-O NGC MS61 and the 1896-O NGC MS60. I tried to decide which coin would best suit my collection. My life goal is to collect the entire Morgan dollar series in mint state. Of course, a few of those coins will be a little hard to come by on my budget. But still, its a good goal to have. Anyway, The 1896-O was the most expensive between the three in mint state 60. I set my eyes on that coin and barely won. Oh yeah, thank you to everyone who replied to my 1899 Morgan dollar journal. That really helped me a lot.
