The coins seem to be not as hot as they were...

I spent some time looking at my SAE registry today and found the SAE W's (namely the 2006 W) seems to have lost a little bit in their NumisMedia pricing.

I'll never forget the hype over the 2006 W. "The first of it's kind!!!!" "How long will they do this???!!" "Get it NOW before it's too late!!"

Yeah, I know. This is normal amongst those who sell the coins to create a hype and a fever pitch to stir interest. I did think that I would never see the 2006 W become less expensive than the $89 I paid for it, though.

I am not at all disappointed, however. I do love that coin. And, I never intended my collection to be an investment, the sheer fun of having the coin is enough for me, but it does boggle my mind a bit that this particular coin would price lower than $89.

I am starting to wonder that maybe if I wait a little while longer to pursue the Reverse of 2007, and the 20th Anniversary set, if I would be ahead of the game?? Hmmmmmmmmm.........
